Since 1993, Impulse NGO Network (INGON) has been addressing the interconnected challenges of unsafe migration and climate impact that contribute to human trafficking across the eight Northeastern states of India and parts of Southeast Asia. Through Impulse Social Enterprises (ISE), our hybrid social-impact model transforms this mission into action by supporting indigenous communities to preserve their traditional weaving and craft techniques. Under the brand Impulse Empower, we develop sustainable textiles that generate dignified livelihoods while strengthening
cultural and environmental resilience.
Over 74,000 human trafficking
survivors responded and reintegrated.

that reinvests in social impact.
OUR IMPACT

Impulse Empower revives indigenous textile traditions through Eri Silk- an organic,
non-violent silk ethically produced by local
artisans.
Handcrafted and dyed with natural pigments
like turmeric and beetroot, each piece is a
tribute to slow fashion, celebrating the culture
and craftsmanship of local communities.
LOCAL CRAFTSMANSHIP
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
More than 74,000 survivors of human trafficking have been supported and reintegrated through the Impulse Case Management Centre, ensuring long-term safety, rehabilitation, and access to justice.
Impulse Empower’s textile production creates fair and sustainable livelihoods for artisans and farmers, fostering ethical entrepreneurship and strengthening local economies. Every piece is crafted using ancestral weaving techniques, ensuring exceptional quality and durability while reducing environmental impact and safeguarding cultural heritage for future generations.
